In June of 2011, in collaboration with Women’s Space Fukushima (known at that time as the private organization, Association for Women’s Independence, see PhotoVoice No.2, Chapter 3, Section 3, “Social Action & Assistance“, page 41), women living in refugee centers of Koriyama City were invited to form our first PhotoVoice group.
Then, in Fukushima City, we formed two PhotoVoice groups. In collaboration with local organization peach heart, a group of young women became members of the first newly established group (Fukushima Group 1). Then in August of 2017, our Tokyo members took initiative in establishing another group in Fukushima (Fukushima Group 2).
